Founded in March of 2021, Black Magic Tattoo is Des Moines’ premier female, queer-owned, and operated tattoo studio.

Built on the foundation of creating timeless and dynamic tattoos that last a lifetime, Black Magic Tattoo offers something new: A warm and welcoming environment to anyone who crosses the threshold. Whether you’re looking for large-scale custom tattooing, cover-ups, pre-drawn flash from the wall, big or small, Black Magic Tattoo can do it all. Featuring three resident artists as well as hosting guest artists from around the country, you’re sure to find the tattooer most suited for you.
